SwiftKey is a free predictive keyboard app meant to help mobile users type faster. It uses an algorithm, built by analyzing large amounts of text, to predict what you are trying to type, and what you will want to type next using AI/natural language processing technology. Microsoft is planning to continue to support SwiftKey on Android for the foreseeable future.
If you have a Mac but haven’t installed Apple’s May 16 security updates for macOS, you should now, according to the Microsoft 365 Defender Research Team. The App Sandbox flaw is tracked as CVE-2022-26706. “We encourage macOS users to install these security updates as soon as possible. We also want to thank the Apple product security team for their responsiveness in fixing this issue,” writes Jonathan Bar Or of the Microsoft 365 Defender Research Team....

Superman showed up in 368,397 breaches, Batman was featured in 226,327 breaches, and Spider-Man was found in 160,030 breaches. Wolverine and Ironman were also seen in thousands of breaches. “A password is like a key to your house. In the online world, your password keeps your house of personal information safe, so it’s important to make sure it’s strong,” a Mozilla spokesperson said....

Dubbed FamousSparrow by ESET, on Thursday, the team said that the advanced persistent threat (APT) group – many of whom are state-sponsored – is a new entry to the cyberespionage space. Believed to have been active since at least 2019, the APT has been linked to attacks against governments, international organizations, engineering firms, legal companies, and the hospitality sector. Victims are located in Europe, the United Kingdom, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Burkina Faso in West Africa, and the Americas – including Brazil, Canada, and Guatemala....
The new Chat button in Windows 11 began rolling out earlier this week for Windows Insiders on the Dev channel. The button is part of the Windows 11 Taskbar and replaces the Skype Meet Now button from Windows 10. Users on the Dev Channel can install Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.100. Dev channel users can click the Chat icon in the taskbar (or press the WIN+C shortcut) to see the most recent Teams conversations or start a new chat or call....

The National Security Agency (NSA), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have listed 16 flaws in network device software from 10 brands including Cisco, Fortinet, Netgear, MikroTik, Pulse Secure, and Citrix that were publicly disclosed between 2018 and 2021. Most of the flaws are rated as critical. These flaws are the ones most frequently exploited by hackers backed by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) since 2020, according to the agencies....
The autonomous machines are being built as part of an AU$2.16 billion Western Tunnelling Package that was awarded to the Gamuda Australia and Laing O’Rourke consortium, which has contracted manufacturer Herrenknecht to design, build, and deliver the machines. According to the state government, the machines will feature artificial intelligence software, developed by Gamuda, that will be used to automatically steer, operate, and monitor various TBM functions. “While an operator remains in control, the autonomous system takes on all repetitive tasks from the operator with greater accuracy,” Minister for Transport David Elliot said, claiming that the use of autonomous TBMs will be an Australian first....
This saturation of gaming phones often leads to tempered expectations and less excitement compared to phones that release on a less-frequent, yearly basis. More importantly, these quarterly “upgrades” tend to be minor and forgettable; maybe one or two new colors, a switch-up to one of the camera lenses, a slightly larger battery, etc. If those were the kind of changes that Nubia made to the new RedMagic 7S Pro, then I’d be less inclined to review it....

Working with market research firm Ipsos, researchers surveyed 130 IT healthcare decision-makers to figure out how they were managing the thousands of medical devices that populate most hospitals today. The “Perspectives in Healthcare Security Report” split most of the study between large hospital systems with more than 1000 beds and mid-sized ones with less than 1000 beds. More than 31% of respondents worked at hospitals with less than 10 000 medical devices, while another 29% worked in hospital systems with less than 25 000....
